Our Busy Month Of May
Roosevelt University Tulips Event - May 5, 2022
The Chicago Area Origami Society had the great pleasure to help volunteer for an event at Roosevelt University. This was a celebration of the life of a former department chair, Dr. Carol Brown, whose favorite flower was the tulip. We helped to teach everyone how to fold tulips that spoke to her legacy.
Japanese Culture Night - May 6, 2022
Back through popular demand, CHAOS helped volunteer to teach origami to hundreds of elementary school children at the dual-language public school, Thomas Dooley Elementary in Schaumburg, IL. We had an amazing turnout and many smiling faces!
Center for Independence Through Conductive Education - May 7, 2022
The Chicago Area Origami Society was proud to have the opportunity to help teach origami to children with disabilities at the Center for Independence Through Conductive Education. This is a rehabilitation center for children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
